SF BUILD is inviting SF State Faculty and Instructors to participate in the FAoC group during the Spring 2017 Semester.

SF BUILD is inviting SF State STEM instructors to join a community of faculty working toward enhancing diversity in the future biomedical workforce. The SF BUILD Faculty Agents of Change (FAoC) group is interested in reducing Stereotype Threat in STEM courses.

What to expect?

Bi-monthly meetings to discuss Psychology and Science Education research to address Stereotype Threat and tools to mitigate its negative impacts in the classroom.  We will also discuss ways we can “Signal Safety” in our own classrooms.  The Spring 2017 FAoC meetings are held every other Mondays from 12-1PM.

Why join?

It is an opportunity to (1) build a supportive community, (2) learn about social science research and tools for the classroom, and (3) receive a letter for your WPAF.
