Post-Doctoral Fellow in STEM Education Research
Do you enjoy supporting students from diverse backgrounds to excel in their STEM ambitions? If you’re interested in making classrooms more equitable and inclusive, SF BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in STEM education research.
About the Program
The mission of SF BUILD is to enhance diversity of the STEM workforce by transforming research and classroom environments at SF State into affirming and socially inclusive spaces where students, faculty, and staff can safely represent different backgrounds and perspectives. Our work is grounded by a psychosocial model developed by SF BUILD that validates the experiences and personal values of historically underrepresented groups in science to support their professional development as agents of change. SF BUILD is one of several BUILD sites funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for Enhancing the Diversity of the NIH Funded Workforce.
About the Position
The postdoctoral fellow will be working closely with the SF BUILD Faculty Agents of Change, a group of STEM faculty committed to creating affirming and inclusive classroom and research environments at SF State through the development, implementation, evaluation and adaptation of interventions for SF State science students.

Develop quantitative and qualitative research methods to study STEM classroom climates
Provide guidance and supervision to a research group of several undergraduate and master’s students
Present research at local and national conferences, and author and co-author publications
