Agents of Change (AoC) Travel Award

About

The AoC Travel Award is a $2,000 award that supports SF State students currently involved in community engaged biomedical research projects who will be presenting their research at a research conference.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled at SF State as an undergraduate student, master's student, or within 1 year since graduating from SF State
  • Currently conducting community engaged biomedical research
  • Abstract acceptance to a scientific conference for you to present (or you are an author on an abstract that has been accepted that will be presented by your lab).

Given the limited number of available awards, priority will be given to (1) current or former AoC Fellows, (2) students who will presenting their research within 3 months of this award application due date, (4) research projects that align with the SF BUILD mission of supporting community engaged biomedical research, and (4) students who have not received an AoC Scholarship or Travel Award in previous terms.

Please note that this travel award will be a $2,000 stipend paid directly to you to cover the cost of your travel.  We cannot make travel arrangements or process travel reimbursements.  If you are a currently enrolled student, the travel award stipend you receive will go through financial aid.  As with any scholarship or stipend award, financial aid may reduce the award based on your calculated cost of attendance and other existing awards this academic year.
