Congratulations 🎉

Dr. Edgar Velázquez was recently inducted into the SFSU Alumni Hall of Fame. Dr. Velázquez was a member of the SF BUILD when he was a student at SFSU. As a Mexican immigrant and first-generation college graduate, he overcame language and cultural barriers to earn his medical degree from UC Davis. Now pursuing cardiology, he exemplifies resilience, perseverance, and a commitment to health equity.
