Our Agent of Change fellows and leaders are students who are/have been currently involved in biomedical research projects that impact community health. These students are committed to increasing social justice through the use of science, which is why we call them Agents of Change!

AOC Leader Workshops

AOC Leaders are student mentors who guide others toward careers in healthcare and biomedical fields. They develop and lead workshops on crucial topics like medical school financial planning, create resource networks, and build supportive communities for aspiring healthcare professionals. While pursuing their own careers in health fields, these Leaders gain valuable mentorship experience while making healthcare education more accessible to others.

AOC Fellows are emerging scientists and researchers who work at the intersection of biomedical science and social justice. These students conduct community health-focused biomedical research while actively engaging with the communities they serve. Fellows are distinguished by their dual commitment to scientific excellence and addressing health disparities through community-engaged research approaches. They participate in professional development programs and join a network of like-minded peers and professionals who believe in using biomedical science as a tool for social change and health equity.
